Peerless Rug History

Peerless Rug Company is a third-generation, family-owned business that has been located in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago since it was founded in 1938. Milton Liss, a Polish immigrant who came to Chicago in 1920, chose Lincoln Avenue because, at that time, Lincoln-Belmont-Ashland was the second largest shopping area on downtown State Street.
